Ford Ranger
La Crosse Boots
Polaris 4 wheeler
Smokercraft canoe

I recommend all these brands.  I do wish we would have gotten a full size Ford instead of the Ranger.  We got the big 6 but when I pull the trailer it sounds like the motor is coming right out of the hood, and I only get 10 MPG.  I only get 16 MPG empty.  The new Fords are really nice and PRICEY!

To set and move and my line I use my chevy pickup, also when the snow flys, but to run my line I use my Geo metro with 2 big totes for critters, and 1 for reset equipment. Not the handist but it works for me, geo gets from 45 to 50 mpg.  Jeff

My #1 mode of transportation is my car.  Very seldom use my truck.  22 Mpg versus 14 mpg, a no brainer.  I even use it to pull around my snowmobile and trailer, which leads to my second most important piece of mobility.  An arctic cat 440 bearcat sled.

Until it basically died, my favorite mode was a 1995 Toyota Tercel, 2-door, little car. I was getting average of 40 MPG on highway with it, and the trunk held everything I needed plus a big plastic rubbermaid box for critters. Front-wheel drive, it was awesome. I parked on road edge or in drive lanes where permitted, and walked into the sections from there.
I have a New dodge Dakota 4x4 now, and the 14 MPG I can barely squeeze out of it is a huge adjustment on the budget. On other hand, I can carry more equipment and buck some rougher weather now than I could with the little car, too.

3/4 Ton Ford

and a 12 ft sear boat for the 4 days of Rat Trapping.  Other then that LaCrosse boats or Muck Brand knee Boots.  Also for the little beaver trapping I do, do proline waders.

My trusty chevy 1500 w/t, I found out though its 2 wd it can usually get out of most stuff, but also learned its best not to try and just get someone to pull you cause it cost me a transmission however, I got out and made it home on that tranny, just lost a few gears somewhere??? lol.

I have used the 94 Toyota 4x4 for several years, has 150,000 trapline miles on it and has never been in shop, does not use or leak any oil. Old blue has never let me down.
Walk a lot to cat and coyote sets.
