What size are the threads on the encore and contender barrels where the front sights attach. I want to place plug screws in place of the sights. The two sizes that Brownells carries are 6-48 and 8-40. Thanks for the Info.

probably the 6-48. The 8-40 are the sizes used for the forearm. I believe they tap these holes the same as the contender sizes. I ordered mine from T/C and don't remember specifying either contender or encore. I used them on both pistols when they came.
Sounds like 6-48 is kind of big, too. I think I would do as suggested and call T/C or Ed's.

The front and rear sight screws are 6-48 on both the Encore and Contender barrels, generally if you stop at your local gunshop they will have some laying around and you can get them pretty cheap or sometimes for free.
