Have hunted deer with this round, but have not shot an animal w/ it yet.  Sorry I can't help you there.

Suprisingly this "bargain" ammo is superbly accurate in both my Smith and Contender.  It's a shame I can't find this ammo locally anymore.

While I have not used this ammo personally on Whitetails, a cousin has. He was shooting it out of a 8 /38" 629 Classic with a 2x Leupold Handgun Scope. He shot a really decent 8 point Whitetail at a range of 110 yards. The bullet destroyed the top of the heart and the bottom of the lungs, ran about 40 yards and piled up dead. Upon field dressing the buck we learned that bullet only hit a rib bone and did not expand too much at all.

If I didn't reload I would use American Eagle or PMC for target practice but for hunting I would spend the money and buy a premium loading. A dollar a pop for a premium bullet isn't going to break the bank if you shoot them enough to fine tune your sights just before deer season and to only shoot deer.

Be Safe,
Scott
