Real AK-47's are regulated by the GCA of 1934, so the ban expiring has nothing to do with that. Most copies would likely be banned from import by the 1989 bill (can't remember the name). So essentially, for Ak copies, we're still SOL. Most of the changes we see will be domestic manufacture weapons. Truth be told, I'm extremely glad the AWB has sunset, but there's no weapons I wanted to buy that were banned. Only real benefit for me is buying hi (well, regular) cap magazines for my pistols.
