2004 Raton SB Championship
« on: September 05, 2004, 06:07:58 AM »
Has anyone that attended the 2004 SB Nationals received their official match report from the NRA. I could not attend this and was interested in what the ammo choices were this year for SB according to the match report.
With all the discussion about Wolf last year I'm wondering what happened this year.
Thanks for any information.

Only 118 of 178 competitors turned in reports but Eley led what was reported. There were about 44 Eley (of all types) to 34 of the Wolf/SK/Lapua.
Federal had around 30 and RWS came in with 7.
There was a little (VERY little) Fiocchi, Remington, Winchester reported.
I think that SK dropped the ball. The price is more than doubled and I've heard -- but haven't substantiated -- that most lots of what's available from them now aren't quite as good as what was available before.
(And the BR types have been slamming Lapua pretty hard. That probably hurt them at least a little.)
Bart and Cathy have really been moving Eley.
