BNB, I admire your craftsmanship in fine-tuning the military trigger of your mauser. If keeping all the original parts is a concern, it is certainly a good alternative to the original trigger form and function. However, unless you just need the hobby, fooling around with the highly functional but extremely coarse mauser trigger is, IMO, not worth the time and effort. With a Bold or Timney trigger you will be done in less than 30 minutes with your modification and have a far superior trigger than anything you will get by modifiying the original. Far, far better feel, much more adjustable, much tighter tolerances all the way around. Just my 2 cents, of course.
