Gotta barrel that I can drop a bullet into and put in a resized case and still close the action, without the case ever touching the base of the bullet. Does accuracy suffer or can it be worked around?

I'm going to guess it's a 44 mag barrel? They are notorious for that. Thats kind of a crap shoot. Some times it hurts & some times not. I have a 44 barrel just like yours. Doesn't seem to hurt. KN

just seat the bullet about one caliber's depth into the case, or approximately have the base of the bullet even with the bottom of the neck......and don't worry about it. adjust slighltly n test for accuracy.
you'll likely find a good combo.
this is for the bottleneck calibers, if thats what ya got. :?

Kyode is right on the $$. Properly seat the bullet and make sure it is consentric in the case. If it hits the rifling square, you should have a good accurate load. I have a couple of TCUs with the long throat. Still shoot moa if I do my part.
