Streetsweeper Status

Hi. Does anyone here know how the Assault Weapon Ban's expiration affects the arbitrary rulings made by the BATF during that time period? Specifically, what is the status of the "Street Sweeper" type guns. Are they still treated like machine guns and "any other weapon"?

I believe the street sweeper and some other shotguns were declared destructive devices.  As such the sunsetting of the S.A.W ban does not effect them.  Destructive devices are covered under the NFA.
