maggot,.....the salute you refer to was common throughout western Europe.  Many people immigrated from western Europe to our shores.  They brought their customs, languages and religions with them.  The "Nazi salute" has absolutely nothing to do with the Pledge to the Flag.......not then and not now.

You have found another flaky website.  Congratulations.

The truth is the writer was a socialist. This is just one example of
socialist programing in the education system.

Funny, I have being saying the Pledge all of my life and it didn't program me.....or anybody else I know of.  Socialists are dreamers.  Poets, songwriters, and more than likely, pledge writers are dreamers.

I could care less who wrote the Pledge, the Star Spangled Banner, or Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain for that matter.....I like 'em. :D

End of discussion.

To everyone but loader,

Have you revoked your ss number?
Have you revoked your drivers licence?

If not you have been programmed to some degree.
At least I can admit I have.

Up until about 43 we all saluted the flag starting with our hand on our heart and at "to the flag"moved our hand out straight ,palm up as in some statue in the Capitol area.
Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is
a dangerous servant and a fearful master. -- George Washington

My problem is not with the location of the arm, but with
the statement "aliegence".
