AR State match Complete..Range broke in with a score of 38

"Mr. Troy Lawton" Broke in our new range Saturday morning with a 38 and Cathy, with a rough 6/10 start on rams, broke it in with a 36. I was too busy to keep up with all the scores but Cathy came back to win Agg Rifle on Saturday and Troy won the Agg Hunting Rifle on Sunday shooting a 39 in the morning. Someone will come along shortly and up-date you more if you care to and I will have pictures up soon.

What a time, one of the best, and to be able to meet the Naturally rank Frank Bray, what else could you ask for. Thanks to the benton gun club, one class act. Next year same benton time, same benton station.

The new range turned out well, didn't it? Without the support of the club and tons of hard work contributed by the shooters it wouldn't have happened. Greg Sullivan did the survey work, for instance. The dirt work and parking lot were contracted but our shooters did everything else. And Frank Bray has just worked tirelessly on the match for months. We sure hope everybody found the range challenging, easy to use and fun to shoot on.
Sincere thanks to everyone who attended, especially those who traveled long distances, for helping make it a successful inaugural match. I haven't had so much fun since Aunt Sally sat on the ant hill.

Let me add my 2 cents worth for what it's worth.  Great shoot, great folks, great range.  The Benton bunch are pure class and ran a great match.  Here's hoping the Midsouth Classic is an annual event.  

It was a great touch to invite the shooters to let the target setters shoot a little after the second match Saturday.  You should have seen the eyes light up and the smiles on both the kids and shooters faces.  And worth mentioning was the gracious way both Troy and Cathy recognized the high junior shooters on day two.
