The Lee manual shows data for 35gr Jacketed bullets using AA 2230, 2015 and 1680, that's the only one I have that comes close out of 8 manuals. I think I'd use 40gr Vmax data.

I have an Accurate manual that has some data; 1680 18.5 3170 start 20.6 3603 max; 5744 19.2 start 3169 21.1max  3602; 2015 22.5 3289 start 25.0 3738 max; 2230 25.4 3402 start 28.3 3866 max this is with a 24" barrel rem 7 1/2 primer and REM case COL 2.130. It is the only data I have. :-[ Every one else I have starts with a 40 grain bullet. If you use 40 grain data like Tim suggested you can not go too wrong. ;D Just use some sense and work up carefully.

I loaded up some in my 223 for my H&R ultra varmint once. i used 24 grns h322, they didnt shoot to bad, you might want to consider the 40 grn v-max,they are more accurate, and more aerodynamic.

You are going to be disappointed with the 35 gr. V MAX in your 223 - buy the 40's and 50's and you will be much better served. Most people would use 40 grain data for load as it will be on the conservative side.

If you haven't got .223 load data, then use .222 data, and work up a load for yourself.

Results might depend on your twist rate.

I've found the 35 V-Max and 40 gr Ballistic Tips good in a .22Hornet, (1:14 twist)
the 40 BT's and 52gr HPBT's in the .222 (1:14 twist)

and persevering with 55 grainers in the .223 . (1:12 twist)

Sierra Game Kings are good.
