Hi All,
I don't know about your crossbows, but mine makes quite a noise when fired. :eek: Has anyone tried some of those limb silencers with any success?

What kind of Xbow are you using?? I have Excalibur xbows and use their disssapater bar noise reduction system.

As digger ask what kind xbow are you using? Most xbows sound louder then they actually are, this is do to the fact that your cheek is against the stock when shooting. Most noise suppressors commonly used with compound or vert.bows do not last with xbows. Simms make's a set for xbows that fit between the limbs if you have a split limb set-up, they also make a finn style that attach to the limbs but slow your xbow down a few fps. The finn style attached to the side's of your rail do help some what.

I'll try to give a little more info.. I have a Ten Point with split limbs. So I am asking whether or not anyone has had any experience with various limb silencers? If you have, are they effective?
Archery equiptment is kind of like fishing tackle...lots of gadgets available, some work while some don't.

TennesseeNuc I had a TenPoint Stealth X2, smooth trigger, smooth shooting, my Son now has and use's it. The only thing too try with that xbow is the simms limb savers that attach between the split limbs. This will slow your fps down by 5fps. I used and my son still has them mounted on the rail the finn limb savers, this helps quite down what you hear and do not fly off after a few shots. I will take a pic of the finn savers and post them fer ya. Any thing that attaches too the limbs will fly off after a few shots except the ones that fit between the split limbs.

Same with string style, they fly apart after a few shots. Watch this post and i will add the pics later today. :wink:

TennesseeNuc I hope this helps a little. Instead of mounting on limbs I mounted them on the rail. They do help and do not fly off. :grin:

Gary, will those fins work on my Paradox as well, I never liked the Simms that went between the limbs.

Yes Digger they will. If you should want to try them on the limbs apply them as close to the riserl as you can. If you use them on the rail you have to apply them where they do not interfere with your cocking aid, on mine this was on the rail against the stock edge.
