The gun banners haven't caught on in 40 years!  Every time they come out with some gun-ban idea, everybody and his brother goes out and buys one.  This puts even MORE guns in circulation (some of which nobody really wanted) and totally defeats their original purpose.  THEY  ARE  STUPID! :roll:

In reference to the surge of 50s purchased, all I can think about this is:  I can snicker and say of course that would happen; I can chuckle and say why not; then again, I could laugh and say, THE POLITICIANS DIDN'T THINK OF THAT! :-D  :D   Patriot

Anyone know the last time someone held-up a bank at 1000 yds. with a .50 BMG?  How would you do that anyway...with a bullhorn?  EVERYBODY INTO THE STREET AND GIVE ME YOUR MONEY...OR ELSE!

Such is life in the this state...thanks Comrade Arnold!

Oh, my aching head!  ...Chris :cry:

What do law-abiding folk who have such rifles do with them? (That's not a rhetorical question; I really don't know.)

Doc;

Long-range .50 target competitions are a growing interest, using both paper and steel targets.

Not intended as an in-your-face question, but really, why is it anybody else's business what "law-abiding citizens" do with them?

It's a piece of private property to be used as one will, as long as they don't harm anyone else or their property.

What other "law-abiding citizens" do with their guns is no more anyone's business than what those "law-abiding citizens" do in the bathroom.
They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

I must say...at the prices they go for....Law abiding citizens are certainly supporting the economy when they buy these 50's.  I consider them a major extravagance...but that is me.  Hell, I need an Ultr-Mag like a hole in my head...but I sure do enjoy shooting it.  I wouldn't mind trying a 50 BMG...and if I just happened to run accross a really good deal...what the heck.....But when it comes down to it...violent crime, murder, robbery is more than likely going to be perpetrated with a 38 or a 9mm or a pocket knife.....not a stupid BMG.  What kind of freakin morons are breeding in California?  Do they not have a brain?  I pray to God that anyone with a lick of sense gets the hell out of Californicatia before it is too late to save thier souls from this disease.
