I just finished my second squirrel hunt of the season. Man I can't remember seeing more squirrels in the woods. We got into the woods at sun up. And by 10:30 AM we were limited out. Man this H&R 16 ga is a true squirrel killer. Shot 7 times killed 6 squirrels the one miss was my fault I didn't get a good sight picture before pulling the trigger. The guy I hunt with bought himself a H&R 12 ga. But its a mod choke so I can still out range him. I killed one of my squirrels at about 35 yards. I was shooting remington express #6 shot. By The Way we both limited out and we saw allot more squirrels then we shot at. We saw many pups (yearings) so we didn't shoot at them. Looks like its gonna be a very good squirrel season in Maryland. There are acorns all over the place.
And we only killed one squirrel that had any Botfly larve in its skin.
