Well I was visiting one of the shops I go to and I was looking at a FA Model 83 Premier Grade used for $1340. Well before I could handle it, a gentleman came in that just lost his wife recently and was just layed off work and was selling several of his guns. I am a sucker for someone in need. So I went over after the guy was done working out the details with the shop owner to put the guns on consignment. When he left, I went over to see if there was something I could use and help him out with a sell.
I passes on 2 rifles and a pistol. But I could not pass on the Freedom Arms Model 83 in 454 Casull, Premier Grade with a SSK TSOB mount and a Bushnell Trophy 2X6X32 scope and 3 rings. The gun is like new condition. I got it for $1450.00 for everything. Also the guy is going to bring in 7 boxes of ammo for it.

I just had to see what all the fuss is about the gun.

I know by looking at it, that it is a very well made gun and the finish work is excellent. Did I do good in this transaction? I think I did real good.

Also now I can come to the FA site here and talk with the big boys.. :-D :-D

Congratulations on a good deal, The 83 set up like that should do you a great service. I know i have never regretted any purchase of a FA

Redhawk, You received the gun at a very fair price and helped out your fellow man. I believe it will be the only handgun that you use for Big game. Enjoy. Rod in Pa.

congratulations. be prepared to see a substantial improvement in your shooting.

the bad thing about f.a. is that you start to see the difference in workmanship of the lesser makes. take rugers, for example. the hammer hasnt been fitted tight on any of the rugers i used to own. and that is just one small example. a fellow doesnt have to look far to see more of the same.

check back once you have had a chance to fire it.

You made a fine purchase. My 454 is the most accurate handgun I own.

It is going to rain all day and I will be off. I am going to the indoor range and shot it. I will post my results later. Bad thing is, it is only a 25 yards range. But still I will get to shoot it.
