New mold-fewer grooves.
« on: September 30, 2004, 04:53:29 PM »
My 336gr. mold for my .44 mag has three grooves.  I put lube into two of them and crimp into the third.  The new mold (240 gr.) has only TWO grooves.  Do I put lube into one and crimp into the other or lube both and crimp higher up the bullet sans benefit of a groove?

lube one crimp one the top grove should look a little differnt then the bottom grove. It shoud taper a little toward the bottom of the bullet to allow for crimping. One lube grove is all you need if you use a good lube.
