Glenfield model 25

I have a Glenfield (marlin) model 25 in .22lr. I have a 3x9 Simmons scope on it. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any aftermarket parts/accesories available for this rifle?

I have looked, but I figure it must have been made back in the mid 70s before customization of less expensive firearms became popular.

I have the same rifle and also mounted a 3-9x Simmons scope.  It is an accurate little gun.  I haven't seen any aftermarket stuff for it, but I can't think of anything it needs.  I did a little polishing of the trigger group with some 600 grit sandpaper wrapped around a popsicle stick and it smoothed it up quite a bit.

I just got a Glenfield mod. 25 used. I was wondering if the basix triggers worked in it. (of course the trigger would cost three times what I paid for the Mod. 25!)

Mine's got a stiff pull. So, I'm curious about polishing the trigger mechanism. Can the tiny return spring be replaced by a weaker one like I've heard is done on some rimfires?

I polished up my trigger and sear as well. Used a sharpening stone and a fine file. It did wonders for the trigger pull.

Has anybody else noticed this rifle absolutely hates Remington ammo, 36grain HV, HP to be specific.

That ammo seems to just suck out of every gun I try it in.

take your gun stock off, then take screw out of trigger and when the spring comes out set it aside. buy you an ink pen , take out the spring in the pen, set beside the original spring and take a pair of wire cutters and cut same link. put ink pen spring in and put back together.... :wink: let me know how you like it afterwards

did the pen trick, polished the contact surfaces and put some aluminum a/c tape on the sear to take up the creep.

A really crisp, 3ish lb trigger.
