From what I have read at another site, this place gives a pretty good hunt. Due to the hilly terrain and size of the area, it is more of a hunt than a shoot.

I too have heard some bad things about Bostick Plantation. Please tell us how the hunt goes.

I too would like to see a report, as I have been looking at some of the places in TN to go on a boar hunt. Good luck, have a good hunt.

:D I had the pleasure of hunting that area two times.  We hunted on a private property between Monterey and Crossville.  We parked at the Bean Pot Camp Ground in Crossville and drove in and out each day.  The country is ROUGH and takes a toll on an old body.  My advice to anyone hunting this area, start six-eight weeks before your trip and workout each day.  A stair stepper is great to work out on, or a tread mill set up as high as it will go.  Build the legs up, and put a load on the heart.  It sure helps when you get out there chasing around the mountains looking for, or dragging out a big pig.  If you are like I am, over 60, overweight, and a heart patient, you may want to reconsider a hunt to this area.

My sister-in-law just bought  place on the Tn-Va border, about half in each state.  She said there are a lot of big hogs in that area, and that I could get to them on an ATV.  I hope to make it this year.

Hope your trip to Monterey is as successful as our's was.  All three of us got good hogs, we took them to a man at Muddy Pond for processing.  He cured the hams, made bacon, smoked chops, sausage and shipped them to Texas about three weeks later.  Sure was good eating.
