Yugo M48 Barrel

I have a nice M48 Yugo mauser that shoots reasonably well (even better with mojo sitghts).  However,  the accuracy is not all I had hoped for.  In examining the muzzle I noted a reasonalbe amount of cleaning rod wear.  I could have the muzzle counterbored to remove the damaged rifling or have the barrel cropped and the front sight moved back (destroying the character of the rifle).  I was just wondering if anyone knew of a source for new M48 barrels.  I am thinking that with a new barrel this rifle would really live up to its potential.

Checkout the used barrels at numrich gun parts i picked up an excellent like new barrel from them for $37 a while back.  Whats good about usin gan excellent barrel is the headspace is already done and it may just fit and all you have to do is turn the sights to line them up vertically my barrel change went perfect and the headspace passes the go guage and it won't close on the no-go guage so i'm with in new barrel specs.  and my bore looks new too.  I think if they hold the tolerances tight on these mausers the barrels are pretty much interchangeable.  I had to heat the barrel just a little like warm it to remove the old shotout barrel and thread file the used barrel to make it fit the threads were a hair off but it still fit tight when i finished putting it together.  I wouldn't hesitate to do it again thast how good it went.                                                                    BigBill
