Now that John Effing Kerry has decided to be the anti-war candidate, how many think Al Qaeda will make a determined effort to try to influence our Presidential election with an attack like they did in Spain? And if they do, and if they are successful, will that help Kerry or President Bush?

My guess is any terrorist attack in the US will help Bush

I have to agree with jgalar. if the main issue is homeland security/terrorism/feeling safe,etc. Bush wins hands down. Kerry has neither the experience nor a good plan( he'll get permission from France to attack) .

If there were an attack that was of a magnitude to scare people, I believe it would call for a swift retaliation and Pres. BUsh would be the one doing. People would see that he acted as a strong leader and is doing something. I believe that the terrorists know this and wouldn't try anything. I believe the Japanese thought we wouldn't fight back after Pearl Harbor in the way that we did. Guess their leadership learned the their lesson the hard way.
