American Gunsmith

Ok, here is a real shot in the dark.....
I am looking for someone who has the November 1996 issue of "American Gunsmith".  In that issue, I believe, is an article titled "You Can Build A Recoil-Absorbing Gun Rest".  At some time in the past, someone scanned and emailed me this article but they only sent me 2 pages and the article seems to be longer than just 2 pages.  If someone out there has this issue and can possibly scan the remaining part of the article I would be extreamely grateful!  This looks like a great project and I want to build it as soon as possible.  You can respond on list or to jim7310@yahoo.com.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

I 'should' have the issue you are looking for.. finding it may well be a bit more difficult...  I will look but it may take a day or so....

GunRest/Shooting Bench

Gunnut69 - I would be very grateful if your could dig the issue out of your archives.  The issue from the following month (12/96) has very interesting plans for a portable shooting bench to go with the Recoil-Absorbing-Rest.  I have a scan of the complete shooting bench article and got the first 2 of what appears 3 or 4 pages of the rest article.

As a side note, the authors claimed their portable bench weighed less than most commercial models and was more stable - required about $10 in material!  I would be happy to post the complete article on the portable bench if it is Okay with the moderator.

I am still digging for the article on the rest.  If you wish to post the shooting bench article please put it in a seperate thread(a new one, with an appropriate title) and make it a sticky thread...  That way at some point perhaps we can get a teck corner set up with helpful hints that are more readily findable.  Now to see if I can apply that organization to my book shelf!!!
