My wife's family delves deeply into geneological roots (both sides of her family) so much so, that on her dad's side, they actually published a book, going back a few years now.
I recall that they show my wife and her sister (junior sibling) as marrying brothers, which just isn't so.
They actually printed my brother in law's last name, as my last name as well.
100 years from now, quite possibly, if someone doesn't know the truth, they're going to have a REAL stumbling block if tracing lineage back to us.
Just wondering if any of You good folks have advice regarding this ridiculous situation....and yes, I've already brought this up to the "authors" of the book, now deceased for many years.
They simply shrug shouldered and side-stepped the issue when this was brought up to them, and I cannot deny that it
is a mild source of irritation to me.
FWIW: The nit-wits who proof-read my high-school year book prior to publication, erred with the spelling of my last name as well, though no-where near to the degree of the gross error by My wife's "literary" family.
