Well welcome to the world of the Encore. You might want to stop by the Modern inline muzzleloading forum and I am sure we can help you out with all your questions. http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=119

I use the 295 gr. powerbelts and 100 gr. 2 pellets of triple7. I also use the 25ACP breech plug and got 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards with it.

I really like the Barnes expander MZ 250gr sabots.  The hollow point is so big its like a small shot glass.  It is a great performer on whitetails.  I have been very impressed with them.

Hey Bud, If I were you I'd start with the big game brochure to see what's legal in your state. In Colorado we can't use pelletized powder, scopes, yadda yadda. Kinda sucks. Be sure your legal, wouldn't want to loose that new gun to a conservation officer!
