Called customer service to order a replacement safety for my 25MN.  Told the lady that answered the line that the button had popped out of the stamped metal piece.  Apparently, that's common since she told me (before I finised my sentence) that I would have to replace the whole safety lever.  The kicker is that, according to her - they only ship certian parts to FFL holders or licensed gunsmiths.  When I questioned her a little more, she turned rude and said that was their policy - period.  I guess Gun Parts Corp will get my business.

I've had the rifle about 7 years.  No complaints til now.  I sent a Papoose that I picked up at a gun show that looked to be new, but didn't have a box back to them because it wouldn't eject consistently.  They charged me $40 for that trip, even though I protested when they called me for approval to go ahead.  As much as I like the 22's and levers I have, I may think twice about buying any more Marlins.

Mr. Dwayne,

I read your complaint about the customer Service Department at Marlin. I strongly disagree with your opion about poor quality customer service.

Between my father and I, we have over 60 years in the firearm retail business. That being said, Marlin has one of the best over all customer service departments around. Believe me, I know what companies have poor customer service.

I will also say this much, I hope you love dealing with Gun Parts, inc. Now if you want to discuss poor customer service and folks who can screw up more orders, then deal with Gun Parts. Oh yay, they will always treat you so good on your shipping expenses also. Yes, gun Parts has most parts people needs, but you pay dearly!

Now for your PaPoose rifle that you sent in for repair. Simply put, you did not buy a new gun. You bought a used gun at a  gun show.........it is not Marlins fault the gun had problems. Why did you not take it back to the dealer or individual who sold you the gun. I only say this, as folks should be upfront when selling a gun to a person. If the gun has a problem, the seller should have told you and priced it accordingly. The least the seller should have done, ethically, was to pay for the repairs.

In closing, I hope you do not take my comments the wrong way, I was just stating facts based on 60 years of firearm retail business. Marlin is a great company!

Happy shooting and best of wishes,

Kenny
