Gawd I hate this....Its 10 o'clock and Im so dang charged up I couldnt sleep if a truck hit me in the head!!!!!! Funny how even us "older" guys still feel like we are 10 again on christmas eve aint it...The memories of yesteryears hunts coupled with the hopes of future glorious days in the woods..Chasing that elusive creature known as the Deer..The grey ghost that haunts our dreams at this time of year..I cant wait till I can get my littlest one out there (LOL she is just 8 months old) Yet I am already dreaming of the days when pops can start teaching her how to hold that first bow..I can imagine the look on her face the first time she strikes the bullseye..I can dream of the day when she gets to see her first deer in her sights, the release of the string and that glorious THWACK of a well placed shot..Yet of all my dreams I feel the greatest one will be the first time my child looks right into my eyes and asks me "daddy can I go huntin with you today? " Lord just the thought of it brings tears of joy to this old mans heart. May all of you have a wonderfull season...Lynn

Howdy there Lynn. Not to burst yer buble, but don't get too excited. Just because you like to hunt don't means she will. Even though that would be the best thing to happen, if she doesn't want to, you can't push it on her. I have a friend who's already clothing his one year old daughter with camo. Sure, there's a good chance she'll like to hunt. But...if she doesn't it...it'll prolly break his heart. And there won't be a danged thing he can do about it.
