winchester model 74

I have gotten a model 74 passed down to me from my dad. It was his dad's originally bought in '39. I have several question regarding getting the gun in shooting condition,
1. Having trouble finding expanded views of the gun . As of now the trigger will not engage and when took apart it was found to have two springs laying loose in the stock one looks like a normal ink pen spring the other like a stretched with hooks on the end. I havent figured out how these attach yet.

2. I have been told that to remove the bolt you need to push the button on the left side of the action. This is not working. May be stuck due to time but need to know how far the button should depress.

3. the blueing is terrible. very light rust pitts over the entire barrel and action. I would really like to do something with this. Any suggestions.

I have never used aftermarket blueing kits-- are these worth it/do they work.

Anyone know where I can get a expanded schematic for this gun

I may have the schematic but will have to look in the shop.  I can't find them on my online resources but GunPartsCorp does have this schematic for sale for $1.50,,   I'll look a bit later and see if I have one and I'll send a copy snailmail if I find it!!
