Tim Sundles and the crew at Buffalo Bore make some mighty fine ammo. It is loaded to the maximum safe levels and all I've ever used has given outstanding performance. Not only top velocities but usually as accurate as anything I've found.

Expensive but as good as it gets.

Never heard anything negative about the Buffalo Bore stuff but at least on common big game (deer, black bear, moose) you really don't need that extra oomph. Also, sine I own zero of the guns mentioned...

odd that they don't list Ruger or FA SAs as being able to handle it.

Not odd at all. The cylinders on the BHs and FA revolvers are smaller in diameter and have less metal between the holes, making them considerably weaker than the other revolvers listed. BB thinks that the loads produce too much pressure for safety in the BH and FA.

*Yes I know, the FA Model 83 is plenty strong, but the smaller Model 97 is too weak. BB is playing it smart and not giving the idiots out there the opportunity to blow up their M97s and then sue BB for their mistake. By proscribing the ammo's use in all FA revolvers they are covering their butts. Damn FA for making another weak .45LC revolver!

FA doesn't chamber the FA97 to .44 Magnum, only to the .44 Special in that bore size. The FA83 will handle anything any of the others mentioned will. I suspect the cylinder length not strength is the issue with the Ruger SBH.
