6 mm plastic BBs
« on: January 02, 2005, 04:18:33 PM »
I got a handfull of the little 6 mm plastic BBs.
I got out my mec 600 jr and loaded six  2-1/2" 410 shells like normal but inplase of the lead shot I used eight 6mm pellets.

I got my 10 inch contneder 45/410 and loaded one of the just loaded shells in it, took it out side and set up a milk jug filled with water at about 10 feet. I took aim and fired the shell. 4 of the BBs hit the jug but did not go all the way trough. The load was so lilght it did not burn the powder compleatly and I got a lot of unburned powder left in the tube.

with eight BBs I do not expect a grat pattern but 50% is not real bad.
the report was not real load and the light weight of the plastic BBs should stop them from going long distance.
