Can anyone tell me if theres any way to mount scope blocks on a single shot barrel when you can't drill and tap it?

Yepper!
They're called saddle mounts (to the receiver). B-Square makes them for a bunch of shotgun models. Type in B-Square on the Google search engine.

I guess I wasn't specific enough. What I have in mind is a barrel installed on my handi rifle to turkey hunt with or perhaps a rossi. I couldn't find anything on B-squares site Thanks for trying.

A one piece steel weaver style base can be contured to fit the barrel and sweat soldered to the barrel. Soft solder(low temp) should work although Brownells Force44 would probably be stronger.,, It would leave a mark only if it were later removed..
