Recommendation for Custom Barrel Maker
« on: October 08, 2004, 09:08:30 AM »
Can anyone recommend an Encore Barrel maker where I can get a 6PPC 15" SS barrel with no taper using a Shilen Select Match blank.  Virgin Valley was about the only place I found that really wanted to to custom work, but they are going out of business and are not taking any new orders. I have tried Bullberry, but they don't like using anything but the blanks they buy in large quantity and will then only make it if you buy one of their forearms.  I also tried SSK, but they only make tapered barrels like the ones from Thompson.

I'll go al;ong with KYODE on this one--OTT  Mike is a great guy and all the barrels I got from shoot better than any other barrels I have ever had with the exception of a 15 inch Factory Encore barrel in 308 Win. that was a tack driver.
