Martini barrel threads

I'm not sure if this clashes with the forum(although it probably doesn't) but I felt you guys would probably know best how to answer this.

I've been looking round for a .303 Martini Enfield and after speaking to a friend his advice a was to find a large frame Martini with a poor barrel and re-barrel it with a good .303 barrel. I know some of you may be groaning but here goes.

There's a Greener MkIII Police Riot Gun in 14guage at a shop nearby and the action is good and tight. I don't intend to throw away the shotgun barrel but it's pointless for me to buy this if I can't rebarrel it simply with a Martini Enfield barrel in .303.

Is the thread the same? Does the Greener have a different/larger thread?

I know I'll have to buy a new extractor even if it does fit but that's not a problem.

Can anyone help me here?

Check the firing pin also.  If I remember correctly that shot gun has a three pronged firing pin designed to prevent firing of conventional ammunition.
