Cheap scope

What would be a good scope to put on my 12ga. Ultra Slug Hunter Delux? I only have $100.00 to spend plus the mounts, any kind of simmons or bushnell? Also what height mounts should i get? High or medium?

I've got a Bushnell Banner 1-4x 32mm shotgun scope in medium mounts on my 12g Ultra. It has been there for 3 years and has held up great.  The whole setup was about 80 bucks.

most in that price range are good enough for shotgun. look for one with longer eye relief and good field of view. simmons and bushnells are good, also the bsa catseye is a good choice. go with a 1-4 power for wider fov.

I mounted a Simmons 4x32 pro-diamond scope last year on my ultra slugger 69.95+tax at wallyworld,with millett medium rings about $20+TAX
CLEARS HAMMER SPUR BY ABOUT 3/16INCH works like a champ for deer also recommended for turkey which I do not hunt so cannot commment on
how good it is for that,reticle give you a 14inch measurement at 40yds sort
of a poor mans range finder.GL

i have a 4x32 pro diamond. love the eye relief, however fov is pretty small for a deer slug gun. i did shoot a nice 8pt a couple of years ago with it, running past me at 20yds. was a very tough shot to make with the tiny fov. i took it off and am putting it on my turkey gun. i like the 1-4's better because they have huge fov on 1x so if you have to get a quick shot off in heavy cover, its easier to find the deer. i now have a nikon buckmaster 3-9x40 on my ultra slug, mainly so i can test it for better groups at longer ranges, however my tracker 2 has a bsa 1-4x32 catseye on it which has 78' fov.

there is also the 1-5x20 simmons pro diamond which i have on my 44 carbine. great fov and good eye relief, also has the pro diamond retical which is very cool. i would choose this one over the 4x32.
