I just found this site....I want to say hi and intro myself...

I live in Southern B.C. Canada for most of the year but own and operate a remote trapline on the BC/Yukon Border. Not a whole lot of trappers here in BC left and I look forward to chatting....I'm leaving in a few days until dec 4th but may be able to check in from time to time when I'm in town. If anyone has pointers for Wolf, Lynx, wolverine or martin trapping I'm all ears....I also have a tag for a grizz this year and will do my usual moose hunt. My wife and two youngest will be with me this year.

Welcome aboard 308, and good luck on yr trapline and have a safe one... If you can take some pictures of yr catch and trapline and post them if you can.. We all enjoy trapline pictures.

I carry a 300 win mag/180 noslers when hunting moose and bear and a ruger 77 stainless 308 when trapping....cuts bullets with 180 gr noslers :grin: ...but if the bears are about I carry a 350 rem meg or my 45-70 guide gun hotloaded :shock:
this year my backup rifle is a 7mm mag with 175 barnes x bullets

Great list of firearms 308.  The 308 is the best caliber made for deer and black bear sized animals but I love my 45/70 and grab it first off the rack.  Ace

Good luck with the grizz. I used to apply but never had any luck drawing a tag. The only one I managed to draw was bison. Which do you prefer the 350 Rem. mag. or the 45-70. I carry a model 660 in 350 Rem. mag but have done a lot of drooling over the 45-70 guide guns in stainless. I like the stainless because it always rains around here. Good luck on the moose hunt also. If you happen to come accross one too many tie him to a tree and send me a map. LOL. If you ever want to trade straight across some of those poor quality norther martens for some of my great coastal martens just let me know. :)  Have a great season.  Jim
