A 44 Mag with Win 296 looks like a flame thrower.
Yup, that 296 is pretty good for fireworks. My 454 with 300gr. bullets yesterday had a load of 30grs. w/296. I can feel the heat from those a little bit if it is not windy, and I get peppered by the little ball powder granules. I was shocked yesterday when I had fired a shot after lookin' through my spotting scope at a target 50 yds away. Once I got lined up and fired the shot, I realized something: I didn't put my saftey glasses back on!!!  Thank God though, no powder granules hit me in the eyes, only the forehead a bit. So remember: when shooting those big boys, especially if they are in revolvers, don't forget the glasses!
But, I'm sure 500 S&W will most likely have the biggest muzzle blast, as far as pistol cartridges go. I wonder what a single-shot pistol in .50 BMG would be like....I'm still waitin'!!!!

BTW sageman, I tried the pic myself and can't get it to post either. I think something may have been done so it can't be posted elsewhere; maybe copyrighted or similar to that nature. For those who want to view the pic with minimal effort on their part  , click here ------->>>
