Hi! I was just wondering if you could shoot a .17 Remington out of a out of a .17 HMR barrel, simply by switching the firing pin slector, & visa/versa or not.

I believe if you take a look at a 17 Rem you'll find that it won't fit into a 17 HMR barrel.

Maybe if you push really hard..... :grin:
The .17 Remington is a .223 case necked down to .17 and the shoulder pushed back a little. I think you can stand two .17HMR cases on top of one another and still be a tad shorter than a loaded .17 Rem.
