Sidekick sails through BP week unfired
« on: October 14, 2004, 01:35:26 PM »
I enjoyed toting my Sidekick during Muzzleloading week this week, but never did fire it.  Might try one more time in the morning.  But the rifle hunts good.  I had several opportunities on does but passed.  I "guided" my brother on his second deer hunt ever opening day, and we had a nice four pointer at 15 yards but he got into some thick brush before Bro could get a shot off (with his stainless Wolverine).  But he had a great time.  It was fun watching him react; the deer came running in behind some does (we were on the ground) and he couldn't move without spooking everything.  That's what it's all about!

I did manage to knock my front sight fiber rod loose, but I just heated up a knife blade and melted it back where it will stay for a while longer.  I like the rifle and will probably go to a peep sight.  I tried mounting a scope but it ruins that good handling I got used to so quickly.
