how much velocity will one lose going from a 26" encore rifle to a 15" pistol barrel with everything else being the same?

It's dependent on the original muzzle velocity. Remington has info that will help you figure it out here:

thanks for the link
according to the chart it should be only 110 fps slower. no deer will miss the 110 fps from a normal shooting distance.
