Since I got my Encore-My 10+ other centerfire rifles are just sitting in my safe----I still shoot my flintlocks, shotguns, and pistols though.
The Encore makes many other guns obsolete!!!!!

I  have replaced some of my rifles with Encore barrels, but I still have some rifles I would never part with. My Shiloh Sharps, Tikka, Sako, Marlin and Remington rolling block.  :D

I can always think of a need for other rifles, I may not have the cash, but there's always a need. As John Barsness(Rifle Mag.) calls it, I'm a certified Rifle Looney.

With my 209x50, 30/06, and 22/250 I really didn't find much use for my other rifles.  Most of them I got rid of and used the money to get top quality glass for all the guns that I have left.  About 90% of all my big game hunting is easily done by the three encore barrels I have.

My two hunting rifles other than my encore are a Ruger bolt in 35 whelen, and a Marlin stainless guide gun.  The encore is great for traveling and 90% of big game hunting.  I still like a repeater for hunting for bear or in bear filled areas.

Thebear_78, I have to agree with you on the travel part. I went to Alaska in September and one of my baggage was my Tikka 300 Win Mag rifle. I bought an Encore barrel in 300 Win Mag and the next trip, it will go it a take down case and in one of my pieces of luggage. Most not all hunting situations one shot is plenty. I can reload my Encore almost as fast as I can cycle a bolt action rifle.  :D Good optics is a no brainier for me. No use in spending thousands on a hunt and have a cheap scope.

Besides 'needing' several more barrels I can think of only about 200 other rifles I need.....but if you give me time I'm sure I can come up with some more'needs'.
