I'm not sure which one he is talking about. I do know that there is a 12 FVSS in .308. I was once considering this rifle. It's a heavy, fluted barreled .308 with a pillar bedded synthetic (plastic) stock.
These are very accurate rifles as I have shot one. With 165 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips 3 shots were well under 1" at 100 yards.
My only general complaint is that Savage rifles feel kinda cheaply made to me. Their actions fees kinda sloppy. Still, they do shoot great, and I honestly can't deny that. :wink:
My only specific complaint was that the trigger was very heavy and sloppy. However, Savage has a new adjustable trigger called "Accu Trigger" that, from what I have heard, eliminates these problems.
When all is said and done, I think that you will be happy with it (again, if it's the 12 FVSS).
