Take a look at:

Those walnut grips are gorgeous. Can anyone tell me where I can find those? I love that dark walnut look. Thanks.

johne,

I'm not sure where you could get those EXACT ones...  But a good place to get hardwood grips (exotic, walnut, etc.) is from Hogue.  Their site is:  www.getgrip.com  They offer some really nice grips at good prices, and their selection is pretty wide, so do some searching there and see what you think.  BTW, those were some pretty good-looking walnut grips. 8)    :D   Patriot

In the article the guy say he "retired them for a very nice set of factory walnut grips" ... so maybe they're available from SIG.  Worth checking out.  On the other hand, you might not have a choice of exactly what they send you (my just be the next set off the shelf), so they might not be as nice as his.  Alternately, you might look at Altamont grips.  I know they have them for SIGs and the quality/look of their stuff is generally very nice.  I'm not sure if they have checkered ones, though.

Also too, I forgot to mention, with Hogue they do have specific wood grips for Sig handguns; and they offer two features: Un-checkered, or checkered.

That's what I was kind of thinking myself.  But at Hogue, some of their wood grips are exotic wood, such as "Tulipwood", "Rosewood", etc.  And they say that those other wood types run harder than walnut, and last longer.  They are pretty unique too, as no two grips are the same.    :D Patriot

Johne,

I purchased the grips pictured at http://www.real-guns.com/archives/039.htm from SIG customer service some time ago. I do not believe they are still available, but the contact info for SIG is

Well, I contacted Sigarms and of course they don't carry it anymore. They told me that both Nill-grips.com and Hogue used to make them for Sig. I have contacted both companies to see if they have that style any longer. They do have some nice grips but I didn't see those particlar ones that seem to have a very nice finish to them. Thanks.
