Pachmayer Decelerator Vs. Limb Saver

I've heard that the Limb Saver is better.  What do you think?  Better enough to warrant replacing it on a 30-06?

My vote is for the Limbsaver, I have 5 of em. Had a decelerator on a .30-06, don't think it was near as good.

I replaced the hard rubber pad on my savage 375H&H with the limb saver and it made a big difference. Replacing the pad on a 30-06 would probably feel like shooting a 22-250.

Had a Pachmayer on last years 1895 ported GS...thought is was great till I put on a #10102 Limbsaver on my new unported 1895GS...and there is no comparison...the Limbsaver will be the only recoil pad I buy from now on...it's that much better in taming those hard kicking guns...also have one on my 870 3-1/2" mag...haven't tried it out yet...but plan on it real soon...

Marlin pad??

How good was the fit on the marlin guide gun.  I just got a stainless guide gun and was thinking about getting one of the limbsavers for it.  On the limbsaver website it doesn't show the 1895 for 10102 only for the 444 and 450.   I just wanted to make sure it would fit before I switched it out.

Thanks, looks like I'll be putting one of those on my wish list.

It is a perfect fit...that is another reason I really like these pads...on the pre-fit Pachmayer...I had to remove about 1/8" on it and shape the toe by finish sanding...this one went on perfectly with no over hang what-so-ever...take your pad off your guide gun...and take it along with you to check them if possible...that's what I did...the Limbsaver has slots instead of holes and will line up better for you using your original screws not theirs....

I put the Model 990 Decelerator pad (1.5" thick) on my 30-06. I can shoot that thing all day long now. Just put it on a 300 Win Mag also.
