Is this rifle still made?

A friend of mine bought one a few years ago that was stainless with a wood stock. I haven't seen another one since, and he fooled around, and traded that one off, and now, has lost track of it.

I'm toying with the idea of making me a night time calling rifle out of one. I'd have the barrel cut back to 16.5", and top it with a red dot scope. I think it'd be a perfect 50 yard night gun for foxes, bobcats, and coyotes here in SW Virginia.

Not at this time, but supposedly, it's on the list for production again.

Jerry, there is one on Gunbroker for sale right now. Nickel finish though. This is a neat looking little gun. His reserve was a bit at 190+ the last time it was listed. It is also listed as a "Survivor" model, I was under the impression that Survivors' came with synthetic thumbhole stocks. Regardless, it's a neat gun and an auction I will be watching.

Maybe not what you're hoping for but you can pick up a new Rossi stainless steel in .357 mag for about $160.00, I got one for a truck gun, and not bad at all except the funky rear sight which I replaced with a TC Contender rear sight I got on ebay for $5.00. I believe www.budsgunshop.com still has them.
