The recoil of a 375 Win. is right around the same as a 44 Mag. I have a 12" Hunter Barrel, and it is one of my favorite barrel and rounds.

I have a 12" 375 barrel. It has no brake and was cut down from a Super 14 barrel.
I put a set of Pachmayr Decelorators on mine, and I find it fairly comfortable to shoot.
As they said it is comparable to the 44, and not as bad as my 44, 4 5/8" SBH Ruger.
I believe there is one on that large auction site now, with brass, that doesn't look to bad.

Not much recoil at all in my opinion, about the same as the 30-30 and maybe a little than a 44 with a 10" barrel.  Mine is very accurate.  It is one of those calibers that I cannot understand why they quite making in factory barrels.

I have a .375 Win. in 14", no brake.  Recoil is stout, but manageable.  My brother-in-law claims that it kicks way worse than his Blackhawk in .44 Mag...I have to agree to a point...it does kick a bit more, but not that much more.  It's actually a fun gun to shoot, just watch the triggerguard, it bloodied my knuckle the first two shots I took with it until I figured out where to put my fingers without getting bit.  Haven't ever shot a JDJ, but I hear that the JDJ is a bit more stout.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)

I have a 375 win , its a 14 inch hunter and the kick is pretty mild , about like my super 14 7tcu with no muzzle tamer .

Being extremely recoil sensitive, I find the 375 to be just at the limits of what I really like to shoot.  My 30-30 10 inch Oct kicks a whole lot more.
The 375 to me has more of a "push" rather than the sharp kick of the lighter guns.  My current 375 is a super 14, I used to have a 10 incher
and it was a bit more recoil and jump. I can set at the bench and comfortably shoot 40 rounds  with the 14 or the 10 with not the slightest ill effect

:D Ihave a 12"barrel with a muzzlebreak. It's recoil is not bad. I don't think it's any worse than my 14" 44 mag barrel. It's seems to be a very effective calibur. I like it better than the 44 now. I've never shot the JDJ so I can't make a comparison.

I had a little brass come in today from a vendor off ebay, 30-30 not 375, but this vendor had 375 Winchestor factory 200 gr. loads for $12.00 a box, a close-out.
Suppoting the economy, I promptly bought 4 boxes.  :-D
If anyone needs any, email me at mutwagn at pirate4x4 dot com, and I'll send you the phone number and address.
The last I bought, over 10 years ago, has a $15.95 sticker on it.

If there is no problem with it, I can post the name and number here, but I wasn't sure, so I posted my email for more info.

I have a super 14 in the contender .375 w/pro-dot scope and it really doesn't have any more recoil then my ruger 44mag w/10 1/2" barrel with a hot load. I reload a horn. 220gr FP w/36.8gr of reloader #7. On a bench at 100 yds. it will hold 3 shot 1 in. groups. At 200yds. 3 on a paper plate. Yea, I'm working on the longer shots. I wouldn't hesitate shooting a deer, elk, or bear up to 200yds but feel that is max for this guns effective knockdown power.
I believe JDJ makes a !st class barrel that would be effective up to 300yds. It all boils down to one thing .... How much can you afford for your toys?

Have A Great Hunt
