:? need help my buddy has a muzzle loader with a set trigger i am not a smoke pole guy the problem is set trigger does not work the first time what i men is cock hammer set trigger pull trigger nothing happens but if you set trigger again and pull trigger it well lit hammer fall  eny help would be nice
it only takes one shot.if ya need more.go sight in your gun!!!

He pushed the screws too far,, the trigger sear is skipping the tumbler..

We need to know what gun/ lock/trigger he's messin with. Lyman/TC or Traditions/CVA.

 It makes a difference. Some have one screw,some have two,, some even have two screws on the trigger, and another on the lock!??? :D

 If it's "way" out of adjustment you can damage or even break the trigger sear. That's a bad thing,,then ya gotta wait fer parts, :cry:

:D its a charles daily hawken carbine probley not worth much but to him its a deer rifle i told him not to shoot it could kill hem or sombody else

:D it has two skrews under trigger group the back one looks like it is all the way out and tthe front is halfway out dont know eny thing about smoke poles but shotguns and rifles i do
