Hello wise gents,
I recently picked up a couple O' batches of 30-30 Improved brass. However they are different from each other. One is 1.60" to the shoulder, while the other is 1.70". Neck lengths are .340" and .255". Width at the shoulder is the same for both, at .412, and .408. (close)
Are either of these Ackley improved?
Which is the better way to go?
Is it just a matter of running the reamer in a bit further, and just using an "improved" reamer?
I am thinking the longer of the two might offer a bit more room, and since I will be using jacketed bullets, the short neck shouldn't be a problem?
Any thoughts or experience to share?
Thanks Much
