I found this website, it is about money that is backed by silver and gold.
Kinda interesting, I doubt that I would buy any, but the concept is great.
What do you guys think?

When it comes to the web and any Money schemes I do not trust any of them.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

It isn't a money scheme any more than advertising guns on the internet is a scheme or scam. This is a new form of private money that is backed up with silver, it just happens to be advertised on the net. It's not some get rich scheme. I haven't bought any, and I'm not trying to advertise this stuff. Buy it at your own risk. I have read their site for the information value.

But my interest is that our money is not backed by anything, it's just paper. Back when we had gold and silver behind the dollar, there was no inflation! I dunno if anyone out there is paying attention, but the dollar may be "de-valued" soon. Get ready for some real good hyper-inflation.

I read a good story about a bellboy who worked at a hotel in Germay before wwII. A wealthy customer gave the boy a gold coin as a tip for carrying his bags up to his room. After wwII ended, they had horrible inflation and the bellboy bought the  hotel where he worked with his gold coin.

Captain Hobo, you have every right to be concerned about the value of our paper money.  I am offering my services to relieve you of the resposibility of having to deal with this worthless comodity.  Please send any green backs that you have accumulted to me and I will dispose of them properly.

Sounds more to me like a buyers club than anything else. You use your own money to buy the "liberty dollars" so you can buy things from so called  "liberty" stores and service. Myself I would buy as much silver as I could and put it away in case the shtf. Silver and gold can always be used for buying what you may need in an emergency. I would also want it in my possesion rather in some deposit box or in a bank.  Just my  :money: worth. :D

Q. Do you trust them?

I don't. If you want silver you can buy "junk silver". Coins that were made when money had some value. Or gold coins. I don't care how safe their warehouse is, I'd rather have the stuff in MY warehouse.

I haven't bought any, and I haven't seen a store that takes them. I agree that it's probably better (and maybe cheaper) to own silver and gold coin.
I was just rying to get feedback about the fiat money issue and the feds.
Just beware that unkle $am can confiscate your gold and maybe silver.

No I won't send you any greenbacks, I will probably have to burn them for heat this winter, natural gas is going up.

if The SHTF cartridges, and lead will be great commodities to have on hand. I don't have a lot of either and even less money to use as firestarter. I don't invest in silver and gold because it can be confiscated by the "they" crowd.

That's why you bury your coins in mason jars in your backyard. Actually a still would be good to have. Sell moonshine when all the money dries up.

IF I had any silver or gold, I can honestly say that I would let "them" confiscate it the same way I would let "them" confiscate my firearms:
From my cold, dead hands !!!
Screw "them".

Used to live in Bolivia.  At the office Christmas party the wife of one the guys told me she bought a pack of cigarettes in Argentina just before she came to Bolivia.  Ten years before she bought a house for the same price.

Yes, as the current leader of this country continues to borrow and borrow the value of the dollar in your pocket will go down.  Kinda makes a "tax break" useless.
