Well, I'm still waiting for my stainless 30-06 barrel. Customer assistance said later part of the year. Plan on calling back and adding a 204 Ruger barrel in late November. Good thing I have several deer rifles to use.

Update: well I called today to check and they told me the same thing, but they do have 243 stainless barrels in stock. So I had them change my order. Did not need the 06 since I traded my 7600 270 pump for a Savage model 16 stainless in 300 WSM. Kinda wondering about the ammo thing with the 100 grain SP. A guy I work with purchased one for is 12 year old son and at 50 yards he said 3 Remington 100 grain corlocts were all touching. Guess I'll find out. If it does not shoot 100 grain corlocts I plan on trying some Remington 90 grain Scirroco's. I think I spelled that right.

Well I recieved it last night. The Ultra with the polished blue reciever and Cin. laminated stock look pretty good with the stainless barrel. My wife has claimed it for herself. Of coarse, it was for her anyway.

Now I just have to waite for payday to buy a scope and some 243 ammo.

If it is raining tommorrow like it is today I'll switch some scopes and sight the 243 in and go to my tree stand to coyote hunt. There has been several showing up lately.
