OHIO is a done deal - Bush will serve 2nd term
« on: November 03, 2004, 03:36:10 AM »
The media are idiots, as well as the Democratic Party. It would have been much wiser to just concede this morning and avoid all the media "trauma". Guess they are just too sore....

Let's look at a "worst-case" hypothetical on Ohio. Let's assume, as the Demo die-hards are hoping, there are still as many as 260,000 uncounted votes on provisional and absentee ballots, and these break the way the MOST DEMOCRATIC county in the state voted, i.e., 70% to Kerry, 30% to Bush.

Bush leads by about 136,000 counted votes. 70% of 260,000 = 182,000 versus 30% of 260,000 = 78,000. This is a difference of 104,000 votes. Still 32,000 votes shy of anything close to victory for Kerry.

There are actually going to be less than 200,000 uncounted votes by any reasonable estimate, and these will have only a snowball's chance of breaking even as much as 60% to Kerry. The election is over.

Congratulations, Mr. President. May you lead us wisely.
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.

I used to have a pic on CD that is the National Democratic Crybaby Award or Party Button.  I wish I could get into that CD so I could post it here.

Kerry and Edwards are gonna scream foul for a long time, just like Gore did about Florida back in the last election.  They just can't let it go gracefully and be real men about it.

With Bush leading the popular vote by around 3 million I don't think the Democratic party can stand to scream long. Now we control the Senate even more, as well as a new GOP minority leader. I'm glad we voted to keep this country the United States as opposed to the United Nations. I was even impressed by the news pointing out that the gun owners of Ohio were not fooled by Kerry's goose hunt and they stuck to their guns. Good Job, Buckeyes!!

We have the White House - the Secretary of State of the State of Ohio officially gave the tally to Bush and declared him re-elected.

We have the Senate, by a majority.  We lost a couple of seats but picked up at least 4 formerly democratic held seats.  So, we are in fairly good shape for the next four years, and I am confident that President Bush will lead us well, finish the business in Irag, improve our economy, set us up for another republican (major hope) and leave our gun rights alone.  Mikey.

The Associated Press is reporting that Kerry has called President Bush and conceeded the election.

God is indeed merciful and protected us from idiocy and liberalism.

Kerry can now eat the political dung that he was shoving and trying to get everyone to believe.

When you don't have any ethics, integrity and honor.... how do you go up against a man who does.

This just came across the AP wire:

George is already planning on "stopping off" in France to celebrate along with 150,000 Us troops.

On a serious note thankfully we won't have the long drawn out legal battles that were experienced 4 years ago.  Now that the Republicans have made gains across the US lets not sit on our laurels and be smug about it.

150,000... why???

All he would need is 1 heavy armored division... maybe a few Marines to roll up the other side of France... worked in Iraq.  We can get air superiority easily...  We know where there bases are and they can't see the B-2's so...  We all know how well the French fare in battle since WWI.  Should be short and sweet.  Just thinking about all of those French beauties waiting for us to free Paris from the communists makes me sweat!!!

France has the lowest use of soap per capita in the industrialized world and the women have hairy armpits. Give me an American woman any day.

Back too the original thought.
Kerry was hoping to get GW to announce victory before concession was made. It would have appeared inappropriate and belligerent on the part of the Republicans and galvanized the defeated Democrats.
Thankfully, GW was more gracious than that--well anyway that is the way it appears, though I am not dumb enough to believe there is any graciousness in politics.
Blessings
