Scherer mags for Glock?
« on: February 13, 2005, 06:25:59 PM »
Saw some aftermarket mags by Scherer.  Hi-caps w/plus 2 floorplate.  The mag for the 22 model holds 17 rds.  Anyone had any experience with these?  Good or bad?

Sorry to hear about the mags you got.  If mine come in like yours they will be going back as well.

Since there is no longer a ban at the federal level on +10 capacity magazines I would suggest going with Glock Factory magazine since the run around $19.95 retail.

The only reason that I would see you possibly buying Scherer tube would be because your located in a state where they dont allow the purchase of +10 capacity magazines but allow the repair of any that you might have owned prior to the state ban taking effect.  I.E. California.

Well, the mags came in finally.  They were on back order.  I went to the range yesterday and am happy to report that I put through 100 rds. per mag w/o a single FTF or stove pipe.  They performed 100%.  I wound up getting two 9mm and two 40 S&W mags for a model 34 & 35 respectively.  They were $17 per hi-cap mag with the capacity for 2 extra rds. due to a mag floorplate extension.  Basically they seem to be a great buy.  I plan to get a couple more.
