In the fifties and raining
« on: November 03, 2004, 08:10:15 PM »
Well guys, it's raining and I'm going out anyway.  I am going to use my waterproof blind and take me some food. Going to make a day of it. I'm hoping that there will be some breaks ever so often and hope a nice brown doe or buck comes casually walking by.  I know that this is my last bow hunt until sat which starts ML. :biggun:  Wish me luck and I hope I can give a positive report later on today :toast: Man, I need to get one real bad. Maybe, the rain will give me an edge  I hope so!

It could be worse, we have 8-10" of snow now and it still keeps falling.  Temps in the low 30s and high 20s with wind chill yesterday at -3.  I would love to see raining and 50s weather!

I'M TELLING YOU WHAT! These d#$%@ rednecks here have already started ML hunting. I had the blind up and ready to go and it was about 7:10. I heard 2 or 3  deer coming through the brush. I had already cleaned out the brush that was in my shooting lane last time. I was waiting for them to come up out of the creek.  Then, BAM!!! I'm afraid so, Some a$$ wipe shot a ML OFF.  He shot the deer I was going to shoot. I stormed out of the blind and started cussing up a storm. I told him this is still archery season until sat.    What if that had been me and you didn't even see my blind. I believe I scared him alot. I told him for A little bit I would put an arrow in him.   Needless to say I came home. On the wayn out I run into 2 more that were totting ML. I just shook my head!  But I did go to the ranger station and reported it. A lot of good that will probably do. I give them the lisense and what kind of trucks they were.    I guess I'll end up hunting at Ft. Bragg for the remainder of the season. I will call Bob and ask him if I can hunt his 400 acres when I get home after the first of the year. I'll have to spend some big money to get lisense in Tn. But it will be worth it! :toast:  I know Tn. has a late season and all. Paul, maybe you can show me some Places to go also. I'm going to try to calm down. I am so pi$$ed off.
